What an absolutely amazing place. I stumbled across this restaurant while wandering around the town with my partner, and just by looking in the front door we knew we had to book! We ended up going with the full family, and even though the owner Romeo spoke no English, he was so attentive and patient. The menu was described in detail, and Romeo made it easy for us to know what we were getting. The antipasti was PERFECT, and really showcased the best of what Napoli and the rest of rural Italy has to offer. Primi included the best pasta I've ever had, and the dolci menu was simply "tiramisu", but did NOT disappoint. The most creamy and light tiramisu I've ever had. For a party of 5 (plus a child) we paid just over 200 euros, and had the most amazing experience. One of the locals who spoke English even gave us a tour of the lower caves, what an amazing way to show off your premises! You MUST go here if you're staying around Palombara or Tivoli. I'd recommend taking cash, as the card machine can sometimes have issues, but it's a very minor point.

Not only is the atmosphere warm and welcoming, the service is the same. The food is outstanding -- highly recommend the pasta with potatoes and provolone. This is truly the perfect stop when in Palombara.

We stumbled across this restaurant right next to the Castello Savelli on a very hot day (40 degrees!), and the naturally cool air inside was a welcome relief! The owner was a delight, very welcoming and friendly and clearly passionate about his food and the history of the site on which his restaurant is built. The food was very good and the portions generous, and all in all it was a pleasure to eat here!

Delicious food, amazing atmosphere! A party of seven, we had the pleasure of having dinner in these fantastic historical surroundings. In addition to serving us one delicious meal after the other, he also gave us an in depth tour of the Taverna, which is partly built in to the mountain itself. The primi came as a "to share", and included meat, cheeses, olives vegetables and different bruschette. Every dish tasted amazing and just kept on coming. This was followed by two variants of pasta, one red and one white, cooked to perfection. My only grief was that it was so tasty that I simply didn't have room for anything after this! Heartily recommended both for the food and the atmosphere.

A very special place which is surely worth travelling to, both for visiting Palombara and surroundings and especially for tasting the cusine. You can feel all the love and passion this family has for this project, the quality of the meat is very high and everything tasted incredibly cold cuts, cheese, fresh pasta. There is both quality and atmosphere
